Little Dragon Slew Tampa’s Music Scene

Crowbar does it again! Last night’s Little Dragon show at Crowbar was another must see! Tycho opened with an electroacoustic sound that paired perfectly with Little Dragon’s Swedish electronic funk.

Although there were a few hiccups with Crowbar’s equipment (a monitor speaker went out and the lead singer seemed to have audio difficulties), Little Dragon sounded like sweet perfection. And of course the crowd called them back for an encore! Catch a clip of them performing, below.

A little background on the band:
Little Dragon formed in Gothenburg in 1996. It consists of Swedish-Japanese singer Yukimi Nagano (vocals, percussion) and her close high school friends Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Källgren Wallin (bass) and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards).

The band’s name was inspired by the “Little Dragon” nickname Nagano earned due to the “fuming tantrums” she used to throw while recording in the studio. “It’s a little exaggerated but there is some truth in it”, Nagano said.
